If you are not a HeadStart School/Community group, but are looking to become a Resilient School/Community Group, you can purchase training direct from our delivery partners as part of your Action Plan.  We will be keeping the Hub up to date with any free training that fits with HeadStart’s approach to Resilience.

Free HeadStart training

Between January 2018 and December 2019 our training is free for staff in HeadStart schools and for people working in the local services and community settings. Outside of these dates you can still have this training if places are available in other districts.

HeadStart Kent services

Between January 2018 and December 2019, young people aged 10-16 that you work with can be referred for the following:

  • Intensive Mentoring
  • Volunteer mentoring
  • Transition Family Group Work
  • Participation (Youth Work)

Online Support and Counselling is also available for the young people to access by themselves.

Grants

Groups of young people in your area can apply for a Pay It Forward grant.

Talents and interests grants of between £50 - £500 per young person to support the development of their interests and activities that are identified through a domains conversation.
